University of Malakand was established in 2001. This university is established after the struggle of many years by the provisional government of KPK. The main purpose of this university is to provide education to the students of the tribal areas. University of Malakand offers many under graduate, post graduate and PhD programs. In order to get admission in the M.Phil or PHD program most students have take the GAT which is offered by NTS and the preparation is offered by Pacans.
