Khyber Medical University was established in January 2007. The main purpose of this university is to provide medical education to the students of KPK. The degrees of MBBS and BDS are awarded by the university to the students. This university is created after the devastating earthquake in 2005. This university has all the latest facilities for the students. This is the only university in public sector in KPK which is offering 4 year graduate program in physiotherapy. It also offers M.phill and PhD courses in medical fields. In order to get admission in the M.Phil or PHD program most students have take the GAT which is offered by NTS and the preparation is offered by Pacans.
